Prior to booking an in-person appointment, please read the following;

We offer in person appointments as well as online Tele-Health appointments at both of our locations.

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. Please arrive for your appointment on time, and bring along attire that will allow your therapist to properly assess your injured area. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapist’s day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the missed appointment’s cost.

Please consider setting up a credit card on file on your Jane (online booking) profile. It’s 100% private and secure and will allow us to do a contactless payment.

Note: we do not have a contract with Work Safe BC. Call our clinic if you have a Work Safe BC Claim to discuss.

Stacy Sanderson-Byers is a Physiotherapist here in Campbell River. She grew up in the beautiful mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado where she spent her time Nordic racing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, dancing, and playing soccer. Stacy and her sister were Junior Olympic level Nordic Skiers, and they both fell in love with the outdoors early on thanks to the Colorado wilderness.

Stacy moved to Victoria, BC at age 15 where she pursued competitive dance. Upon graduating she trained in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Vancouver to further her dance training and transition into professional work. After sustaining a foot injury, Stacy pursued post-secondary education.

Stacy graduated with a BSc Kin from the University of Victoria in 2015 and moved to Campbell River shortly after, where she has built a plethora of work experience including personal training, injury rehabilitation and sport-specific conditioning. After falling in love with the field of rehabilitation she decided to pursue further education and received a Master’s Degree of Physiotherapy from UC Dublin in 2021. She is a member of the team at our Dogwood clinic and provides physiotherapy assistance to infants and school-aged children on the North Island through the Ministry of Child and Family Development, alongside Dean Clark.

Stacy has developed a love of running, dirt biking, fishing and active exploration of the beautiful surroundings she now calls home. She can often be found yarding in large Springs off the Green Can. She hasn’t had any luck in the Tyee Pool yet, but that day will come.

Stacy is passionate about movement and exercise rehabilitation. Her energy and enthusiasm help her clients push through the difficult days to get back to the things they love doing in this beautiful town we live in.

Vanessa was born and raised in Richmond, BC. After pursuing her Bachelor in Kinesiology, she completed her Master in Physical Therapy as part of UBC’s first Northern Cohort living in Prince George, working primarily in underserved and rural communities in Prince George and in Terrace. During that time, working in Campbell River opened her eyes to the beauty and allure of the region, leading to her decision to leave the city life and continuing her adventures here.

Other than working in private practice, some of her experiences include working with patients after total hip/knee replacements, post-stroke rehabilitation, and in regaining function following reconstructive surgery (ex. burns, amputations). She has a keen interest in working with patients in managing osteoarthritis, chronic pain, and neurorehabilitation through an evidence-based approach. Over the years, Vanessa has come to understand the significance of personalizing treatment plans, acknowledging the uniqueness of each patient’s journey to recovery.

Outside of the clinic, Vanessa enjoys lifting weights at the gym, paddling, making sourdough, and cheering on the Blue Jays.
